JOSH SPRINGER

Hailing from Appleton, WI, Josh Springer is a distinguished figure in the basketball community with an extensive coaching resume that spans the globe. As the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Providence Day School since 2007, Springer has upheld and enhanced the school's status as a powerhouse in the high school basketball arena.

In his sixteen-season tenure, Springer has masterminded a staggering ten NCISAA State Championship victories (2008, 2010-2017, & 2020), contributing to the Chargers’ breathtaking 394-82 overall record. Under his leadership, the team not only savored a monumental 108-game NCISAA Conference game winning streak but also became a crucible for athletic excellence, producing 20 collegiate players, four North Carolina Gatorade Players of the Year, three USA Olympians, two McDonald’s All-Americans, and a WNBA player.

With over 300 career wins at Providence Day HS in 16 seasons, his accolades include being named Coach of the Decade by The Charlotte Observer in 2019 and North Carolina Girls Basketball Coach of the Year by USA Today in 2014.

A nominee for the UW-Oshkosh Alumni Award in 2018, Springer has also shared his insights as a speaker for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association at the Final Four and has been a panelist for Charlotte Independent Schools on college athletics recruiting. His voice resonated with the audience as a keynote speaker for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Providence Day, serving from 2014 to 2023.
